"Why are Class B vans so expensive? I could buy a Class C or an entry-level Class A for almost the same amount of money."
Pleasure-Way builds on completed Ford , Chevrolet and Dodge chassis's. The existing body of the completed chassis is then stripped, prepped and modified to create our van motorhomes. In the manufacturing process, the side walls of the van are curved to allow for greater interior space. As a result of this curvature, each interior piece of the van motorhome must be hand-crafted and custom-installed to ensure a quality fit and a rattle-free drive. This process is substantially more time-consuming and costly than building Class A and C motorhomes, which are usually built with square interiors and standard-size components. In addition, Class A and C motorhomes are built on cut-away chassis, which means that when the Class A and C motorhome manufacturers purchase the chassis, it only consists of the
front cab and the chassis frame. Therefore, the cut-away chassis purchased by Class A and C motorhome manufacturers is less expensive than purchasing a completed vehicle.

"Can I purchase my Pleasure-Way factory-direct?"
To ensure the best possible customer service, Pleasure-Way operates through an established dealer network. The primary advantage of this dealer network is that you are able to receive assistance from our dealers almost anywhere in North America. You can imagine how important this dealer network is in the event that you experience problems while you are travelling. With a dealership network that spans North America, you are never far from a friendly Pleasure-Way dealer who is able to assist you.

"Can I use the water system in the winter?"
Pleasure-Way locates the fresh and gray water tanks underneath the coach to give you more interior storage space. Since these tanks and some water lines are located underneath the vehicle, they are susceptible to freezing. However, if you carry and maintain a fresh water supply inside the coach and add anti-freeze to your gray and black water tanks to prevent them from freezing, you may still be able to use your sinks and toilet in below freezing temperatures.

"Can I purchase a Pleasure-Way in Canada and bring it back into the U.S.?"
Only Pleasure-Way Van Motorhomes specifically manufactured for the U.S. meet the U.S. EPA standards; similarly, only our Canadian units meet the required Canadian specifications. As a result, you are unable to purchase a Pleasure-Way in Canada and bring it back to the U.S.

"What do I do if I need service while traveling on holidays?"
If you are experiencing a problem while traveling, either contact your dealer or call us toll-free at 1-800-364-0189 and you will be directed to a nearest authorized Pleasure-Way dealer for assistance. If one is not available in the immediate area, Pleasure-Way will work with the nearest RV dealer to help you get back on the road as soon as possible. If you experience a problem with the Chrysler chassis, contact their Road-Side Assistance at 800-363-4869 (in Canada) or 800-521-2779 (in the U.S.). This phone line is accessible 24 hours a day.

"How much can I tow with my Pleasure-Way?"
The answer to this question depends on the amount of cargo loaded into the coach. The total weight you can tow depends on the combined weight of the vehicle (including its contents) and whatever it is that you are towing. Generally, you can tow between 2500 and 5000 pounds depending on which model you have. Please refer to the Chassis Specifications page to determine your model's towing capaity.

"Can I mount a rack on the roof of my Pleasure-Way to carry a canoe?"
If you would like to carry a canoe on the roof of your Pleasure-Way, you must have a custom roof rack installed. This is a result of the unique curvature of the roof and the location of the roof vents. However, upon request, Pleasure-Way will supply you with a blocking diagram to indicate the strongest place to mount the roof rack.

"Can I obtain a rear ladder for the rear door?"
A rear ladder is available for the rear door by simply contacting your local dealer.

"Will Pleasure-Way build a custom van of my own design?"
While some small alterations can be made, Pleasure-Way can not deviate from the set floor plans as a result of safety and cost considerations.

"Are the vans insulated?"
Pleasure-Way insulates the walls, doors and roof of each unit. The roof has a reflective R-14 insulation. The walls are insulated with styrofoam board and the doors are packed with pink Fibreglass.

"What is the difference between the Lexor and Excel?"
The Excel model is widened eight inches, four on each side. This additional width allows us to incorporate our private bathroom and gives you an 81" wide rear sleeping space. The Lexor is a standard width and features a flexible bathroom with a stand up aisle shower and a 72" wide rear sleeping space.
