The swivelling driver and passenger seats are covered in sumptuous Ultra Leather® fabric, which is as durable and easy to care for, as it is comfortable. By cleverly notching the bathroom wall behind the driver’s seat, you gain the ability to recline the seat further without compromising bathroom space. The rear seating areas are also covered in Ultra Leather® fabric and provide a cozy area to recline and relax or entertain friends. The sofa effortlessly extends into a 70” x 76” bed with the touch of a button. The memory foam cushions practically guarantee  sweet dreams. After a relaxing night’s sleep, simply press the button and your bed conforms itself into a rear seating area once again.

Smooth Ride and Ample Storage

The 2011 Plateau is built on the 3500 Mercedes Benz Sprinter cargo van chassis. This chassis, with dual rear wheels, has an increased carrying capacity of approximately 2500 pounds over the 2500 chassis. The dual rear wheels offer more stability on the highway and still average approximately 20-22 mpg.

We bought our wonderful Plateau after a year-long comparative search,mainly so we could travel in style with our big black lab. Last year we travelled from NJ to CO and NM, over 5000 miles round trip. We averaged almost 23 mpg, with our best tankful averaging 24.3 mpg. Not bad since I consistently drive 70-75 mph! We did drop to 20 mpg on the day we crossed Vail Peak, but the little turbodiesel never missed a beat crossing the Rockies.

Travelling from Ouray to Durango CO my wife complained that I never let her drive, so she took the wheel on ONE OF AMERICA's MOST TREACHEROUS DRIVES, the Million Dollar Highway. She had a blast and still tells everyone how easy it was to drive. Wherever we go people stop and question us, and want to see the inside. They are amazed at the luxury, quality, use of space, fit and finish. On the rare occasion that we had a problem or a question, the response was always immediate and satisfactory. I always feel that Pleasure-Way stands behind me wherever I go. How many companies can you contact and sometimes get the president's personal response?
